Monday incident adds to recent crime spree in Central Park: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man accused of grabbing a woman's phone in Central Park and throwing it into a pond on Monday morning is under arrest, according to the NYPD.

Police say the incident occurred at 10 a.m. at 60th Street and Fifth Avenue, just inside the park.

This marks the fifth incident that has been reported in Central Park in the last couple of days.

The man's identity has not been released. He is being charged with grand larceny.
