NEW DELHI:

Carmi le Roux

of the

San Francisco Unicorns

suffered a severe blow to the head during his team's

Major League Cricket

(

MLC

) match against the Seattle Orcas at Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina, on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the third over of the second innings while Le Roux was bowling over the wicket to Orcas' batsman Ryan Rickleton.

He delivered a full ball just outside the off-stump, and Rickleton struck it powerfully straight back in the direction of the bowler's head, as Le Roux didn't get any time to react and started bleeding.
The on-field umpire promptly called for medical assistance. The bowler was subsequently taken off the field, and Corey Anderson completed the over in his place.
