players on Xbox when their consoles have automatically uploaded video captures featuring in-game nudity. The company at the same time added that it's willing to reverse suspensions "if actions are deemed to have been taken in error" and suggests users turn the auto-upload feature off to avoid further bans.
For those unaware, Baldur's Gate 3 launched last year, nearly sweeping The Game Awards and winning the prestigious Games of The Year prize.

According to media reports, Baldur's Gate 3 players were receiving bans for using an Xbox-approved feature with an Xbox-approved game surfaced last week. The game's developer Larian quickly moved to assure fans it was working with Microsoft to sort out the "annoying and uncool" suspensions.
News of the bans also spread on Reddit after a user named Daddy-Vegas posted a photo showing three different bans on his account for the automatically uploaded scenes.
What Microsoft said
Microsoft Xbox
issued a statement on X, formerly Twitter, where it recommended users turn off the "auto-upload" feature when they think they are coming up on sensitive content. "To provide clarity on Baldur's Gate 3 mature content enforcement actions, Xbox account suspensions are not automatic. Each clip is reviewed by a moderator and, if found in violation of our safety and content policies, actioned accordingly. Our team evaluates appeals and can reverse suspensions if action was taken in error. If this was a first offense, for example, we will remove the suspension and let players know why it happened and how to avoid future issues (e.g. how to turn off auto-upload when sensitive content is being captured)," it said.
The statement asked users to turn off auto uploads. "For how to turn off auto-upload, please visit: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/friends-social-activity/share-socialize/capture-game-clips-and-screenshots"
