Microsoft has announced Copilot Pro, an advanced version of
AI-powered tool
aimed at power users and
content creators
. This new
premium subscription
for individuals provides a higher tier of service for AI capabilities and brings Copilot AI to Microsoft 365 Personal as well as Family subscribers. The company also announced the general availability of Copilot mobile apps and Copilot for Microsoft 365 to more commercial customers.

Those interested can subscribe to the Copilot Pro for $20 per month/per user.
The more powerful version of Microsoft's AI tool offers various capabilities, including 'advanced help with writing, coding, designing, researching or learning, Copilot Pro brings greater performance, productivity and creativity.'
Copilot Pro features
- Microsoft says that Copilot Pro is a single AI experience that runs across devices, understanding the context on the web, on the users' PCs, across apps and soon on the phone.
- Secondly, users will be able to access Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on PC, Mac and iPad for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers.
- Those who subscribe to Copilot Pro will get priority access to the latest LLMs starting with OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo. "With Copilot Pro you’ll have access to GPT-4 Turbo during peak times for faster performance and, coming soon, the ability to toggle between models to optimise your experience how you choose," said Yusuf Mehdi, executive vice president, consumer chief marketing officer, in a blog.
- Paying users will also get access to enhanced AI image creation with Image Creator from Designer (formerly Bing Image Creator). As per Mehdi, this image creator is faster and creates images with detailed image quality as well as offers landscape image format.
- Lastly, the Copilot Pro users will also get the ability to build their own Copilot GPT – a customised Copilot tailored for a specific topic in the new Copilot GPT Builder (coming soon).
Microsoft also announced that customers like Visa, BP, Honda, and Pfizer, and partners like Accenture, KPMG, and PwC are already using Copilot, and 40% of the Fortune 100 participated in the Copilot Early Access Program.
Expanding Copilot in Microsoft 365
Microsoft also announced that Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now generally available for individuals, small businesses and enterprises. There is no seat minimum, lower prerequisites and more ways to buy through partners.
