Michele Jones Galvin on telling Harriet Tubman’s story

NEW YORK (PIX11) - Harriet Tubman was a seminal figure in Black history in America. 

The abolitionist led hundreds of slaves to freedom through the Underground Railroad. Eventually, Tubman settled in upstate New York, where her family still lives. 

Michele Jones Galvin, the great great great grand-niece of Tubman joins PIX11 to discuss what it’s like being a descendant of such a pivotal figure and to chat about her book, “Beyond The Underground: Moses of her People.”
