Maverix Advisory Group has added industry veteran Kevin Van Eck to its leadership roster.

Van Eck will assume the role of principal after a 16-year tenure at @properties. He served in multiple positions there, most recently as president of affiliate strategy at Christie’s International Real Estate, which was acquired by @properties in 2021.

Maverix CEO Jeff Kennedy said that Van Eck’s experience in scaling technology, boosting the productivity of agents and optimizing brokerage operations makes him an ideal choice for the company.

“Kevin’s ability to identify and implement technology fills an immediate need in proptech right now,” Kennedy said in a statement. “With his expertise, we’re further strengthening our ability to support companies in refining their strategies and accelerating industry-wide adoption.”

Prior to Christie’s and @properties, Van Eck was on the board of directors at the Chicago Association of Realtors. According to his LinkedIn profile, he previously worked for Corner Bakery and Brinker International before getting into real estate.

“I’m extremely grateful for my experience and the exceptional team at @properties and Christie’s International Real Estate,” Van Eck said. “Joining Maverix Advisory Group presents an exciting opportunity to leverage that expertise, and support proptech companies as they build and scale solutions that drive meaningful impact in the industry.”

Maverix was founded in 2024 by Kennedy and is based in Charlotte. It offers a wide variety of services in the mortgage and real estate spaces, including pipeline development, integration support, recruiting, branding, strategic partnerships, sales support, events, mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising.
