Massive tree in Queens falls on to multiple cars, causing damage: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A massive tree in Queens crashed onto multiple cars on Saturday afternoon, according to the NYPD. 

Police received a call for a reported tree down at 39-63 57th Street in the Woodside neighborhood of Queens, police said.

At least one car, a Chevrolet, appeared to be severely damaged. Two other vehicles were also damaged, as one video posted to Citizen showed.  

The New York Parks Department was assigned to remove the tree. 

The incident was closed at 11:37 p.m., officials said. 

No injuries were reported, authorities said.
