MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police said they are searching for a man accused of a hate crime while aboard a northbound A train while it pulled into the 34th Street-Penn subway station late Friday night, according to police.
Officials said as the train pulled into the station, a 27-year-old man was approached by the suspect. Police said the suspect used anti-LGBTQIA+ statements before allegedly attacking him with a box cutter around 11 p.m.
The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, while police said the suspect stayed on the train.
