Man wanted for attempted rape in Queens subway station: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man accused of attempting to rape a woman inside a Queens subway station on Feb. 24, according to the NYPD.

A 20-year-old woman was followed while leaving a Queens-bound F train at the 169th Street subway station, police said. The man allegedly punched the woman in the face multiple times and knocked her to the ground, according to authorities.

He's then accused of trying to take off the woman's clothes, police said. The woman screamed, and a security guard intervened, according to authorities.

The man fled the subway station toward 168th Place, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital for her injuries, according to authorities.

Police describe the man as being around 5'10" tall. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, a light blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and orange and white sneakers.
