Man threw flaming container at people in NYC subway station: police

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – The NYPD is searching for a man who allegedly threw a flaming container of a flammable liquid at people standing on a subway platform in Manhattan last month, police said Wednesday.

The incident happened in the West 28th Street subway station on the southbound No. 1 train platform around 7:40 p.m. on Feb. 5, according to the NYPD. No injuries were reported from the incident.

The NYPD released surveillance video showing the suspect holding two flaming cans inside the subway station. Police are still trying to identify the suspect, who remains at large.
