Man stabbed at Manhattan migrant shelter: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11) --- A man was stabbed at a migrant shelter in Manhattan Wednesday morning, police said.

Authorities found the man with stab wounds at a shelter at the former Lincoln Correctional Facility at 31Central Park North in Harlem at around 11:30 a.m., according to the NYPD. It was unclear if the victim, believed to be in his 30s, is an asylum seeker.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
