Man sought for two camera thefts near Central Park in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a suspect connected to two separate camera robberies near Central Park.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

The first victim was using a camera and tripod near West Drive and Terrace Drive on Friday, May 31. At around 2:19 p.m., an unknown man removed took the equipment while the victim was distracted and ran away, police said.

The second victim was using a camera near West Drive and 79 Street Transverse on Saturday, June 1, according to the NYPD.

An unknown man took the camera from the victim's hand and ran away, police said. The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m.

Police have released the following surveillance image of the suspect.
