LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (PIX11) -- A 24-year-old man was attacked as he was getting off a subway in Long Island City Saturday evening, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened around 7:50 p.m. at the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station.
The victim was getting off a southbound F train when an unidentified individual pushed him onto the platform, police say. The suspect began a verbal dispute before slashing the victim in the right arm with a box cutter.
The suspect grabbed the victim's cellphone, which had fallen onto the ground, and fled the station, police say.
EMS took the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
The NYPD released the following surveillance video of the suspect.
