MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are looking for a man accused of attacking another man on New Year's Eve in Manhattan, according to the NYPD.
The assault happened around 10:20 a.m. on Amsterdam Avenue. The suspect allegedly approached the 52-year-old victim from behind and struck him with a bottle, punched and slashed him across his right eye with a box cutter, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center with a laceration to his right eye and bruising, police said.
Police describe the suspect as being around age 40 to 50, last seen wearing a black jacket, blue ripped jeans, multi-color sneakers, black hat with the letters "VA" in the front and carrying a black book bag.
