Man shot in the face, teen shot in the head in Queens: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A man was shot in the face and another in the side of the head when a shooter opened fire on a Queens street Thursday night, police said.

Authorities found the victims, ages 20 and 18, with gunshot wounds near 222nd Street and Merrick Boulevard in Laurelton just before 10 p.m., according to the NYPD. The 20-year-old man was shot in the face and leg and the teen was struck in the side of the head, police said.

The men were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. No other information was immediately available.

The shooter fled in a sedan south on 222nd Street, according to sources. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
