YONKERS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was shot and killed while in a pickup truck in Yonkers Monday, police said.

Gordillo was in the truck with a group of people he knew when he got into an argument with one of them, police said. The other person briefly left the scene but came back with a gun and shot Gordillo in the head, according to police.

Eighteen-year-old Yonkers resident Ludvin Ramos-Cervantes was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with Gordillo’s death, police said.

“Regardless of the severity of a dispute, escalating the situation by introducing a weapon
and resorting to violence is never acceptable,” Yonkers Police Commissioner Christopher
Sapienza said in a statement.
