Man shot 3 times during attempted carjacking in East Harlem: NYPD

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was shot three times after he refused to get out of his car during an attempted carjacking in East Harlem Wednesday morning, police said.

The terrifying ordeal unfolded at a gas station near 129th Street and Park Avenue in East Harlem just before 8:30 a.m. The 33-year-old victim was inside a white Maserati when at least two suspects tried to carjack the vehicle, police said.

The victim was shot in the left leg, left arm, and right shoulder, according to the NYPD. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to survive.

The suspects took off after the shooting, police said. Surveillance video shows one of the suspects exiting the back passenger seat of the Maserati as the victim slowly drives off. Another suspect is seen on the street. 

No arrests have been made. Police did not have descriptions of the suspects.
