MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – Police arrested three people after a man was attacked during an argument in Times Square Thursday, according to the NYPD.
The 28-year-old victim was punched and kicked in the face in front of the Hard Rock Cafe at 1501 Broadway, according to authorities. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, police said.
Mounted units were called in to help secure the area, which was flooded with tourists.
A witness told PIX11 News the victim was antagonizing people prior to being attacked. The NYPD has not confirmed a motive for the assault.
The man who was attacked was upright and conscious when he was taken to the hospital, according to authorities.
A teenager was also stabbed in Times Square Thursday. Police arrested seven people and are still looking for 16 people in connection to that incident, the NYPD said.
