BAY SHORE, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was killed in a fire at his home in Bay Shore on Long Island Tuesday, police said.
The fire happened at a home on Oklahoma Avenue around 12:30 p.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Artemio Gonzalez, 77, was pronounced dead after being removed from the home, police said.
A family member of Gonzalez and a police officer were hospitalized for smoke inhalation, according to police.
Investigators do not believe the cause of the fire was criminal, police said.
