CLINTON HILL, Brooklyn -- A 55-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a driver in Brooklyn early Saturday, according to police.
The incident happened just after midnight at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Fulton Street, authorities say.
The 55-year-old was crossing the street on Washington Avenue when he was hit by a burgundy Ford Explorer, officials report. Police are now looking for the driver who they say fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities. Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
