MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man has been indicted for allegedly pouring hot liquid on four different people within two hours earlier this month in Manhattan, officials announced Thursday.
Larry Martin, 42, is charged with second-degree assault and first-degree attempt to commit the crime of assault in connection to the March 6 attacks, according to the district attorney's office.
In the first incident on March 6 at around 7:10 a.m., Martin allegedly lunged toward the victim, and threw scalding hot liquid at the back of the victim's head, causing burns to his neck, court documents revealed.
A little over thirty minutes later, at 7:46 a.m., Martin allegedly threw hot liquid at a second victim's face, according to court documents. This attack near Sixth Avenue and West 56th Street left the victim with burns and hearing loss.
Then at 8:15 a.m., Martin allegedly threw a cup of hot liquid, burning a third victim near Seventh Avenue and West 42nd Street, court documents reveal. Another victim was burned on the chest and hand when Martin allegedly poured hot liquid at 8:39 a.m., before walking towards Eighth Avenue.
"Larry Martin allegedly committed violent attacks against four randomly selected individuals walking in Midtown within the span of less than two hours,” said District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
