Man hit with metal baseball bat in anti-semitic attack on SI: NYPD

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man was beaten on the head with a metal baseball bat on Staten Island during an antisemitic attack, authorities said.

Authorities report that the victim was allegedly attacked on Monday at around 2:30 p.m., in front of 475 Grandview Ave., according to the NYPD. The suspect spewed antisemitic remarks before hitting the victim with a baseball, authorities said.

The victim suffered a gash to the back of his head and was transported to a hospital for treatment, authorities said.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
