Man grabs cellphone, flees as subway doors close: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A woman was on board a southbound L train when a man snatched her phone and escaped as the doors were closing, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. at the Jefferson Street subway station.

The 23-year-old victim remained on the train while the individual fled the scene, police say. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket and camouflage pants. The NYPD released the following photo of the man.
