Man found floating in Coney Island Channel: NYPD

CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- A man was found floating in the Coney Island Channel early Tuesday morning, police said.

Cops responding to a 911 call spotted the body in the water 3 feet from the shore by Boardwalk and Stillwell Avenue in Coney Island at around 6:50 a.m., according to the NYPD.

The unidentified man, believed to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The medical examiner will determine how the man died.

No other information was available.
