JAIPUR: A 25-year-old man was found dead on Monday morning in an empty elevator cabin of a city mall near Akshay Patra on Jagatpura Road. The deceased has been identified as
Satish Bairwa
(25), who had attended a New Year's Eve party. Following the suspicious death, his family members have alleged foul play, suggesting that he was murdered.
A police official stated, "The body has been placed in the mortuary of
MGH Hospital
, where a post-mortem will be conducted by the medical board. The investigation is underway to determine whether the death was intentional or accidental."
According to the family members, Satish had gone with his friends for New Year celebrations on Sunday night, that was held on the eighth floor of the mall. Satish attended the party with his friends that continued till late night. His friends were unaware of his absence until the following morning when he did not return home. They went back to search for him and found his body. The family was informed, and they reached the spot.
Upon receiving the information, the police also arrived at the scene. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected evidence from the spot. The young man's body was found in the basement in the elevator cabin. Family members suspect foul play, suggesting that someone may have pushed him, leading to his death. Despite a thorough search on every floor, the police did not find any evidence at the scene. However, the person organising the party has gone missing after the incident. A police official said, "The search has begun and police will soon find facts about the incident."
