Man fatally struck by train at Union Square: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – A man was fatally struck by a train at the 14th Street-Union Square station Sunday morning, according to police. 

The man in his 30s was struck by an N train around 8:12 a.m., police said. He was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

Northbound N and R trains ran express between DeKalb Avenue and Times Square-42nd Street, and delays were expected on the N, Q, and R lines, according to officials.

It’s not clear how the man ended up on the tracks, but there is no criminality suspected, sources told PIX11 News.
