Man fatally stabbed in fight over beer outside Queens bodega: sources

FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) – A man was fatally stabbed outside a Queens bodega during a fight over beer early Tuesday morning, sources told PIX11 News.

The stabbing happened in front of 97-02 Queens Blvd. in Flushing around 12:36 a.m., according to authorities. The man, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was found collapsed on the ground near the bodega with a stab wound to the chest, police said.

Officers followed a trail of blood back to the bodega, where a person of interest was taken into custody, according to authorities.

The person taken into custody is an employee of the bodega, sources said.
