Man dead after hit-run driver crashes into MTA bus in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man died after a hit-and-run crash Monday night with an MTA bus in Brooklyn, authorities said.

The incident happened at 9:46 p.m. at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Lorimer Street when the driver of a red Mercedes crashed into an MTA bus, authorities report. The driver then fled from the scene, authorities report.

A 33-year-old passenger was ejected from the car and was later pronounced dead at pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said. A 31-year-old bus driver and 41-year-old passenger were both taken to a hospital for treatment, authorities report.

The investigation remains ongoing.
