Man burned in suspected random attack in Times Square: NYPD

TIMES SQUARE (PIX11) – A man is recovering in the hospital after possibly being set on fire in a suspected random attack in Times Square, police said.

Emergency teams responded to the scene just before 4 a.m. Sunday morning near the intersection of Seventh Avenue and West 41 Street, according to authorities.

The 45-year-old was taken to the hospital with burn injuries but is expected to survive, officials report.

Police say they’re investigating the incident as a random attack.
