Man beat straphanger with metal pipe in Queens subway station: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A man beat a straphanger with a metal pipe in a Queens subway station on Saturday, police said.

The suspect repeatedly hit the victim, 31, in the head with the pipe in the Queens Plaza subway station just before 1 a.m., according to the NYPD. The man suffered cuts to the head and was taken to hospital for treatment, police said.

The gray-beaded suspect took off after the attack, police said. There have been no arrests.

On Thursday, a tourist was stabbed in the neck in an unprovoked attack at the Queens Plaza subway station.
