Man arrested with 26-inch 'gun blade sword' and fake FBI badge in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police arrested a man in Brooklyn who was found with a "steampunk gun blade sword" and fake FBI badge on Thursday, according to the NYPD.

Wesley Williams, 40, walked into the Congregation Yetev Lev D'Satmar at 152 Rodney St. in Williamsburg with the weapon on Rodney Street around 9:30 a.m.

Williams was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a forged instrument, according to police.

The weapon appears to be a steampunk collector’s item sold on Amazon by a novelty sword seller. The "gun blade sword" is advertised to have a 26-inch stainless steel blade, according to the listing.

The elegantly designed gun handle features a spinning barrel that gives it a realistic gun look. The metal alloy gun includes intricately carved designs. Officials said no injuries were reported.
