BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police arrested a man in Brooklyn who was found with a "steampunk gun blade sword" and fake FBI badge on Thursday, according to the NYPD.
Wesley Williams, 40, walked into the Congregation Yetev Lev D'Satmar at 152 Rodney St. in Williamsburg with the weapon on Rodney Street around 9:30 a.m.
Williams was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a forged instrument, according to police.
The weapon appears to be a steampunk collector’s item sold on Amazon by a novelty sword seller. The "gun blade sword" is advertised to have a 26-inch stainless steel blade, according to the listing.
"A true piece of art, the Otherworld Steampunk Gun Blade sword is a must-have for your collection or costume. The elegantly designed gun handle features a spinning barrel that gives it a realistic gun look. The metal alloy gun includes intricately carved designs. The 20 1/2" blade is constructed from rust resistant stainless steel with an antique finish and laser etched elements to complement the overall luxurious design," according to the Amazon listing.
Officials said no injuries were reported.
