THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man has been arrested in connection to a 2015 shooting that left a mother of five dead in the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
Lasalle Herman, 34, has been charged with murder in the death of 41-year-old Michelle Cox, police said. He was taken into custody on Jan. 30 of this year, according to authorities.
The NYPD said Cox had left her Webster Avenue apartment building without her phone to go to a nearby corner store. When she returned home, the elevator wasn't working, forcing her to use the stairs, according to authorities.
That's where she was shot execution-style, police said.
