Man accused of sexually assaulting 11-year-old girl in NJ home: prosecutors

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) --- A man is accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl he knew in a New Jersey home, authorities said Tuesday.

Edgar Rompich-Ramos, 19, was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child/facilitating child sex abuse material, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to prosecutors.

The alleged attacks happened several times at a North Bergen this year when the victim was 11 years old, authorities said. It was unclear how the suspect knew the victim.

No other information was immediately available.

Rompich-Ramos is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. Prosecutors will ask he be held without bail.
