Man accused of raping, beating 53-year-old woman in Queens, police say

FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man accused of beating and raping a 53-year-old woman on Sunday in Queens, according to officials.

Inside a commercial building near Main Street and 40th Road, the man punched the woman in the head and the face and forcibly raped her around 11 p.m., police said.

The man left the woman and she was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries, according to police.
