NEW HYDE PARK, Long Island (PIX11) — The man who is accused of stabbing his parents while they slept in their Long Island home was allegedly mad that they were taking "away his tech," including his MacBook, according to sources.
Joshua Wilck, 24, confessed to the stabbing that happened on Saturday in New Hyde Park, court documents showed.
Wilck allegedly cut power to his parents' house before he walked up to their bedroom and stabbed them with a kitchen knife, documents said. The parents ran out the front door, with Wilck accused of following them, according to court documents.
His father then ran to the neighbors' houses for help, court documents showed. The driveway was covered with blood, according to court documents.
When police officers showed up at the house, they ordered Wilck to lie down, but he started to punch and choke his father, court documents showed.
The father suffered stab wounds to his clavicle, chin, neck, shoulder, thumb and middle finger. The mother was stabbed six times in her neck and suffered a laceration to her liver, according to court documents.
Wilck has previously been accused of criminal mischief, with his father named as the victim, court documents showed. He's also accused of violating an order of protection, according to court documents.
Wilck was working as a sales representative and went to Boston University, court documents showed. He was living with his family up until recently, according to court documents.
Wilck has been ordered to stay away from his parents, court documents showed.
A judge ordered him to be held on $400,000 bond or $200,000 cash.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital for their injuries, according to authorities.
