, shared insights into the ongoing endeavors to sustain the progress of organizations established by Mai in her absence.

Mai, a renowned Indian social worker and activist, gained recognition for her exceptional work in nurturing orphaned children and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2021 for Social Work.
On the occasion of social reformer

's birth anniversary which was celebrated at the five institutions run by Maamata, she said in the statement that, "Mai believed in fostering children into responsible citizens and this same continues through the five institutions initiated by Mai even after she has passed away. The primary focus remains on aiding children who have faced challenges, ensuring their reintegration into mainstream society, and providing them with educational opportunities."

Since Mai's passing, Mamata noted the initial outpouring of sympathy that supported the organization. However, she acknowledged that the absence of Mai was keenly felt during the last Diwali, marking a poignant shift. Despite this, Mamata remained resolute in her commitment to maintaining the trust created by Mai, with various organisations still coming forward to assist.
Reflecting on Mai's teachings, Mamata said, "While making any decision, I remember Mai and visualise her, thinking about what she would have done, and accordingly, I spell out the verdict."

, expressed his deep admiration for Sindhutai Sapkal, and said, "Mamata was very inspired by Sindhutai Sapkal and worried after her passing. However, upon observing her innovative approach, I am confident that Mamata will continue to embody the spirit of Sindhutai Sapkal."
