Malavika Mohanan lists three love lessons that are beyond romanticised notions of love

On the occasion of Valentine’s Day,

Malavika Mohanan

penned a thoughtful note, that stresses the importance of looking at love, beyond its romanticized notions. The gorgeous

actress

took to her social media handle on Valentine’s day, wherein she listed three

love lessons

she learned.
“3 love lessons I learnt beyond the

romanticised notions

of love & romance.

Find someone who aligns with the future version you see of yourself(I cannot stress on this one enough). Who pulls you back on your track when you feel lost, and not someone you need to cajole or coax to let you fulfill your dreams. Behind every successful woman there are supportive men too, remember that. (Shoutout to @adityamohanan@kumohanan on that note for setting the standards too high for me).”
The second lesson according to her is, “Peace of mind. It’s so easy to mistake volatile behaviour and the constant push & pull for passionate romance. Or to mistake emotional unavailability for mystery & intensity in a person. But if a long term relationship does not give you peace of mind, *nothing* makes it worth it. Sure, all relationships go through ups & downs, but if the downs outweigh the ups you have some thinking to do and tough decisions to make.”
Her note further reads, “Listen to actions, not words. “Well done is better than well said” said Benjamin Franklin. Personally, I’ve always trusted a person who walks their talk instead of just someone who talks big(goes beyond romantic relationships too obviously) Actions tell you the red flags, the problematic behaviours, loyalty or the lack of it, effort, true colour..basically the actual deal if you’re aware of it watching out for it. There’s so much more I would like to share, but another day maybe? For now just leaving you with these thoughts… The photos obviously have nothing to do with the writing. I was feeling pretty and loved, and that’s as good a reason as any to share them, right? Oh, and Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Did you know Alia Bhatt once called Valentine's Day 'overrated' due to her 'bad date'?

Meanwhile, on the work front, Malavika Mohanan will be next seen in ‘Thangalaan’.
