Major fire breaks out in Dombivli high-rise in Maharashtra

KALYAN: A major fire broke out at Palava Township building in Khoni area of Dombivli on Saturday.
The fire spread to many flats which was caused due to a short circuit on the 8th floor of the building.
All residents were able to safely come out of the building before the fire could spread.
It was a new construction and people were residing upto third floor only.

According to fire brigade official, the fire began at 11am and spread to flats till 18th floor.
They were however managed to control the fire after three hours, cooling operations are under way.
A fire brigade official said that the fire broke out into the duct area of the flats where fiber sheets were installed on each floor.
