NEW YORK (PIX11) – Part of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway will be shutting down this weekend for construction, according to officials.
The Queens-bound side of the roadway will be fully closed from Atlantic Avenue to the Manhattan Bridge starting at 2 a.m. on Saturday through 4 a.m. on Monday.
Crews will add new concrete and steel reinforcements near Clark Street and Grace Court.
In addition to the closures, the Atlantic Avenue eastbound left turn onto Hicks and Clinton streets is banned expected for buses. The Hicks Street northbound left turn onto westbound Atlantic Avenue is also banned.
Officials advise drivers to expect major delays during the closure and avoid the highway altogether. For more information on the closure, click here.
