NEW DELHI: In a heartwarming moment that took place at the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (

BCCI

) headquarters in Mumbai on Saturday, legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen with the ODI World Cup trophy that India won after 28 years at the Wankhede Stadium in 2011.
With Chennai Super Kings set to take on Mumbai Indians in an IPL blockbuster on Sunday, Dhoni and Co.

were at the Wankhede for the practice session and the India legend was seen admiring the World Cup trophy.
With Dhoni side-by-side with one of Indian cricket's most prized possessions, the images of the two spread like a wildfire on social media.

Team India immortalized the Wankhede Stadium in 2011 when then-skipper Dhoni hit a six to signal India's triumph in the ODI World Cup, beating Sri Lanka in the final, to become the 50-over champions for the second time.
Fourteen years from that day, on April 14, Dhoni, who is in all likelihood playing his last IPL season, could be gracing the hallowed turf in Mumbai for the last time as a player.
The spotlight is set to be on the 42-year-old Dhoni, who has already relinquished CSK captaincy to drop a hint that this could be his final bow in the cash-rich league.
CSK are currently at the third spot on the points table with 3 wins and a couple of defeats in 5 matches.
MI, on the other hand, kicked off their season under new captain Hardik Pandya with a hat-trick of defeats but since then have registered two straight wins and are at the 7th spot.
