United Way of New York City’s Women United hosts the annual luncheon each March. It serves as a crucial fundraiser, raising $1 million for United Way of New York City's education equity efforts.

"It's about the power of women and what Women United within United Way of New York City is doing for our city, for our children, for reading..." said Heather Romero, co-chair of the luncheon.

PIX11's Monica Morales hosted this year's event, which is in its 18th year.
