Ludhiana: Police arrest ex-serviceman for murdering his neighbour

LUDHIANA: Jodhan police on Thursday

arrested

ex-serviceman

who allegedly

murdered

his

neighbour

over a

drain-related issue

. The deceased was identified as 70-year-old Shingara Singh of Dhaipai village.
Gurmeet Kaur, wife of the deceased told cops that their neighbour Jagdeep Singh would frequently fight with them over the drain. She alleged that on Thursday, the accused attacked her husband with an iron rod.
The complainant alleged that her husband died after the accused hit him in the head multiple times.

She later lodged a complaint with police.
SHO Jodhan Police station, inspector

Jagjit Singh

said that the accused was booked for murder before being arrested. He added that, besides working in the military the deceased had served in Police.
