Prime Minister Narendra Modi today filed his nomination from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Before filing the papers, he offered prayers and performed aarti at Dashwamedh Ghat. PM Modi then took a cruise ride to the Namo Ghat and reached the Kaal Bhairav temple to offer his prayers

Several Union ministers, including Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, and chief ministers of BJP and NDA-ruled states are likely to accompany him to the collectorate for his nomination filing.

Ahead of filing the nomination, PM Modi held an extravagant roadshow in Varanasi on a five-kilometre-stretch on Monday evening.
