Global Citizen Festival

'. This marks her debut solo performance at a major

music festival

following the release of her latest single, "Rockstar," just last month. Joining an impressive lineup including Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, and Rauw Alejandro, Lisa will grace Central Park in New York City on September 28.

The event, hosted by Global Citizen Ambassador Hugh Jackman, aims to raise awareness and action for global equity.
Global Citizen, known for its advocacy to eradicate extreme poverty, invites attendees to earn free tickets by taking action through its app or website. The festival coincides with the UN General Assembly, leveraging the gathering of world leaders to push for crucial global commitments. These include ensuring access to healthcare, education, and nutrition for marginalized communities worldwide.
One pressing issue highlighted is the plight of 72 million children deprived of education due to conflict and crisis. Global Citizen urges countries like Australia, Italy, Spain, and the US to contribute $250 million to Education Cannot Wait, aiding 20 million children in conflict zones. Another critical call is for increased funding to GAVI, aiming to immunize an additional 500 million children against preventable diseases, potentially saving over 8 million lives.
In addition to these initiatives, the festival supports organizations such as CGIAR, GPEI, IFAD, and UNFPA in their efforts to combat poverty and protect the planet. Central to their mission is defending human rights, particularly those of advocates and activists risking their lives for social change.

"We are thrilled to join forces with Lisa for what will be her first ever solo performance at a music festival," said Katie Hill, SVP, Head of Music, Entertainment and Artist Relations, Global Citizen. "Lisa is not only an incredible performer, but also a powerful advocate, leveraging her voice and platform to drive action on some of the most urgent challenges our world is facing. We look forward to welcoming Lisa, and of course Lilies and Blinks, to Central Park in September! Join us by taking action on the Global Citizen app, and together we can make a huge impact to end extreme poverty."
The 2024 Global Citizen Festival promises to be a celebration of music and advocacy, uniting fans and activists alike in a powerful call for a more equitable world.
