JERICHO, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A masked man was nabbed trying to break into a Long Island home Saturday before he was spooked by the homeowner, police said.
The homeowner spotted David Li, 27, wearing a black ski mask and glasses covering his face, in the backyard of the house on South Marginal Road in Jericho on the home's surveillance camera at around 7:50 p.m., police said.
The woman noticed he was trying to break in through the rear door and confronted him before he ran off, police said.
Li allegedly had burglar tools when the officers arrested him near the home a short time later, police said.
Li, a Manhattan resident, was charged with attempted burglary, possession of burglar tools, and under the new Title 90-Mask Transparency Act, police said.
The defendant was arraigned on Sunday.
