THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) --- The leg found on a Bronx subway track belonged to a man who was fatally struck by a train in Manhattan last week, according to law enforcement sources.
The man was hit and killed on the Nos. 6 and 4 lines at the Spring Street subway station in Lower Manhattan at around 10:55 p.m. on Feb. 12, sources said.
Authorities found the limb on the tracks of the No. 4 subway line between 167th and 170th streets in the Bronx at around 1 p.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD. MTA workers cleaning the snow found the leg on the subway tracks, sources said.
The limb may have been dragged from Lower Manhattan to the Bronx by a train, sources said.
The man has not been identified. The incident doesn't appear to be suspicious.
