Large coyote spotted in Central Park

CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (PIX11) – A coyote was spotted wandering around the Cherry Hill area of Central Park over the weekend.

Coyotes have been spotted in New York City since the 1930s. There are families of coyotes that have been living in the city for generations, which started with one group in the Bronx, according to city officials.

They're known to live in Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan. If you see a coyote, give it space.
