Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam' has been minting approximately Rs 1 crore every day during the weekdays. The film is expected to rake in Rs 15 crore net in India today, February 15.

Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth made her comeback with 'Lal Salaam' after a huge gap of eight years. The film, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, is struggling at the box office. Despite having Superstar Rajinikanth playing an extended cameo, the film is having a tough time at the box office. It is to be seen if the movie will be a jump in collection during its second weekend.

'Lal Salaam' released in theatres on February 9 amid huge anticipation. The film has been receiving mixed reviews ever since it hit theatres last week.

'LAL SALAAM' TANKS AT THE BOX OFFICE

'Lal Salaam' started its theatrical run on a promising note on February 9 and had a memorable opening weekend. However, the film witnessed a gradual decline in collection during the weekdays.

On its sixth day at the box office, February 24, the film saw its number drop further. Going by the initial trade estimates, 'Lal Salaam' is said to have earned around Rs 1.19 crore net in India.

The six-day total collection of 'Lal Salaam' now stands at 14.14 crore net at the domestic box office. The action drama managed to clock in an overall occupancy of 15.37 per cent at the box office in India on February 14.

'Lal Salaam' marks Aishwarya Rajinikanth's comeback as a filmmaker after a hiatus of eight years. The sports drama imparts an important message about religious harmony.

Produced by Lyca Productions, 'Lal Salaam' boasts an ensemble cast including Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah and Vivek Prasanna in supporting roles. Cricket legend Kapil Dev appeared in a cameo as well.

Cinematographer Vishnu Rangasamy, who co-wrote the screenplay with Aishwarya, composer AR Rahman and editor Pravin Baaskar are part of the technical crew.
