on Saturday, KKR showcased a remarkable comeback led by their spinners, derailing Mumbai Indians' run-chase of 158 and restricting them to 139/8 in 16 overs.
This victory propelled the two-time champions to become the first team to secure a spot in the playoffs of
IPL 2024
.
The match, initially impacted by rain, was curtailed to a 16-over contest, intensifying the competition between the two formidable sides.
With this triumph, KKR now boast 52 wins at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, mirroring the achievement of the Hardik Pandya-led MI at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, marking a historic milestone in the IPL's illustrious history.
