NEW DELHI: IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals on Sunday were at the receiving end of fans' trolling after they shared an alleged photoshopped pic of the team's group photo.
The group pic was taken after Royals' 2024 campaign ended with the defeat in Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In the image, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, seen sitting at the left corner, was later added, according to fans.
In the unusual photo,
Ashwin
also seemingly gained biceps as fans suggested his face was cropped over fellow teammate's Sandeep Sharma's body.
The pic instantly went viral on social media as users made fun of the Royals' goof-up.
Earlier, Royals' Director of Cricket Kumar Sangakkara admitted that fatigue played a big part in their poor run at the back end of the IPL, which possibly derailed their campaign.
RR, who won eight out of their opening nine matches, were firmly in contention to finish in the top two. But, the Sanju Samson-led side endured a four-match losing streak besides a washout tie, which forced the side to settle for a third-place finish.
Although they bounced back with a win over RCB in the Eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad got the better of RR in Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad on Friday.
